Overnight, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while local people in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and faced interruptions to water supplies, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southern area, as reported by regional authorities.

Moscow has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"What is required is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, Europe and the major economies - in providing protection systems and applying penalties," mentioned in a public message.

He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets struck the country's power systems, describing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to restore power.

A series of attacks struck power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, according to local officials.

Area administrators said the metropolitan region came under significant strikes overnight. A young boy was killed and three other people were wounded.

The attacks succeed nights of air raids in the area, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The whole nation is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with strikes already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were bracing for more assaults.
